Files are for testing
The files on SampleTestFiles are test fixtures. The names, people, companies, figures, invoices and reports inside them are fictional and generated by software. Any resemblance to real people or organisations is coincidental. A sample invoice is not a request for payment, and a sample report describes no real business.
No warranty
The files and the information on this site are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We test every file with independent software, but we cannot promise that a file will behave in a particular way in your application, or that the site will be available without interruption. Use the files in a test environment, and do not rely on them for anything on which safety, money or legal obligations depend.
Technical information
Format descriptions, default limits and code examples are provided for general guidance. They were accurate to the best of our knowledge when written, but software is updated constantly and behaviour differs between versions and configurations. Always confirm details against the official documentation for the software you use. Nothing on this site is professional advice.
External links
We link to standards bodies, vendor documentation and other third-party sites because they are useful. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
