Every file below is a valid PowerPoint presentation (Office Open XML) file of exactly the stated size. Open a file's page for its checksum and contents. PPTX files cannot be displayed by a browser, so their pages show the file's details instead of a preview.

What is a PPTX file?
A .pptx file is a ZIP archive with one XML part per slide, plus slide layouts, a theme and any embedded media. Images and video are stored as ordinary files inside the package, so presentations are often large.
Speaker notes, slide masters and layouts are separate parts linked by relationship files, which makes the format modular but intricate to generate by hand.

What to test for
These are the behaviours that most often go wrong when software handles PPTX files.
- Presentation size is dominated by embedded media, so limits tuned for documents are often too small for real decks.
- Converters differ in font substitution; the same deck can reflow when a font is missing.
Strengths of PPTX
- Opens in PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote and LibreOffice.
- Media is stored as ordinary files inside the package, which makes extraction simple.
Limitations of PPTX
- Files grow quickly because images and video are embedded.
- Appearance shifts when fonts are missing on the viewing machine.
Typical uses of PPTX test files
- Testing presentation uploads in learning and meeting software
- Checking slide-to-image or slide-to-PDF conversion
- Verifying size limits with media-heavy files
Software that opens PPTX
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Google Slides
- LibreOffice Impress
- Apple Keynote
- python-pptx and Apache POI libraries

- Is a sample PPTX file the same as a dummy or example PPTX file?
