Sample files for mobile app development
Files for testing uploads, downloads and previews in Android and iOS apps, including on slow networks.
Mobile apps handle files under harsher conditions than the web: connections drop, the operating system suspends the app mid-transfer, storage is limited and memory is tight. Features that work on office Wi-Fi fail on a train.
Test with realistic sizes on a throttled connection. A 5 MB file represents a typical photo, and a 10 MB file is enough to make a transfer outlast the patience of the user and sometimes of the operating system.

Checklist
Throttle the network
Use the network conditioner on iOS or emulator network profiles on Android, and repeat upload and download tests on 3G-like speeds.
Background the app mid-transfer
Start a large transfer, switch apps and return. It should continue or resume, not restart or silently fail.
Watch memory with large images
Decode the 10 MB JPG and check that the app downsamples rather than loading the full bitmap.
Open files from the device
Download samples in the device browser and open them through the system file picker to test the import path.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I download the samples directly on a phone?
- Yes. Every download is a direct link that works in mobile browsers. Files are saved to the Downloads folder on Android and to the Files app on iPhone and iPad.
